What Cadence does

Cadence helps you plan activities, track your schedule, sync with Google Calendar, and manage groups and budgets. To do this, we store your account and activity data and connect to services you choose.

Information we collect

• Account information - When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details (such as name and email) through Google Auth and Supabase.
• Activity data - Activities, groups, budgets, settings, and related information you create in Cadence are stored in Supabase.
• Google Calendar - If you connect Google Calendar, Cadence creates and syncs a dedicated Cadence calendar and can read free/busy status from your other calendars for conflict checks.
• Device unlock (optional) - If you enable biometric unlock on your device, verification stays on your device; it does not replace your Google sign-in.

Services we use

We rely on trusted providers to run Cadence:

• Google Auth - Sign-in and authentication.
• Supabase - Database, authentication, and file storage for your data.
• Google Calendar - Optional calendar sync when you connect it.

These providers process data according to their own policies. We only share what is needed for the features you use.

Analytics, ads, and tracking

Cadence does not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking tools. If we add these in the future, we will update this policy and describe what is collected and how you can control it.

How we use your information

• Provide and improve Cadence features you use.
• Keep your account secure and sync your calendar when enabled.
• Respond to support requests you send us.
• Meet legal obligations where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete activities and account-related data from within the app where those options exist. To request account deletion, contact apps@medici.africa.

Your choices

• Disconnect Google Calendar or revoke Cadence access in your Google account settings.
• Sign out of Cadence at any time from the app.
• Contact us to ask about or request deletion of your data.

Security

We use industry-standard practices through our providers (encrypted connections, access controls). No online service is perfectly secure; please use a strong Google account and protect your device.

Children

Cadence is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of Cadence after changes means you accept the updated policy.
